This washing machine rotor position sensor assembly is compatible with LG part number 6501KW2001A and is made for LG direct-drive washers. Also called a hall sensor, it mounts on the stator at the back of the tub. It reads the rotor's position and speed so the main control board can start the motor and spin the drum smoothly. A faulty sensor can stop your washer from running a cycle, so replacing it is a common and affordable repair.
